At Nordic Energy Research, Aiko’s main responsibility is call management for the CETPartnership, where she structures and coordinates work alongside colleagues. She is also a member of the call committee for the Green Transition Initiative.
Aiko has a background in environmental and climate research with broad transdisciplinary experience, particularly in technology. In recent years, she has worked in research funding at several Swedish agencies, most recently at the Swedish Energy Agency, where she was involved in the government initiative Industrial Leap to reduce emissions.
Aiko holds a B.Sc. in Agriculture (Soil Sciences) from Kyoto University, a Ph.D. in Bioagricultural Sciences (Soil Biology and Chemistry) from Nagoya University, and an M.Sc. in Library and Information Science from Uppsala University.
