The Nordic Electricity Market Forum is the annual meeting place for the Nordic electricity sector, organised by the Nordic Electricity Market Group.
The purpose of the Nordic Electricity Market Forum, which has been held annually since 2018, is threefold:
- To build and strengthen a common understanding
- To find a shared Nordic voice
- To communicate the Nordic perspective to authorities and Europe
The forum has been organised since 2018. The most recent forum took place on 5–6 May 2025 in Oslo and put focus on issues connected to Nordic competitiveness. The next forum will be held in 2026 in Helsinki.
Participation in the forum is by invitation only. Most invitations are distributed via the Nordic and national electricity sector associations.
The Nordic Electricity Market Group operates under the Nordic Council of Ministers as a working group dedicated to fostering Nordic cooperation in the development of well-functioning and competitive electricity markets.
