This year\u2019s strong response reflects a growing recognition of AI\u2019s potential to play a key role in shaping the future Nordic energy system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Receiving a record number of qualified proposals reflects a strong level of engagement across the Nordics. The submissions show both breadth and depth in how AI can be applied to current energy challenges&#8221;, says <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nordicenergy.org\/staff\/ingrid-helene-garmann-johnsen\/\">Ingrid Garmann Johnsen<\/a>, senior advisor and project leader for the Nordic Energy Challenge at Nordic Energy Research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;This year&#8217;s strong response reflects a growing recognition of AI&#8217;s potential to play a key role in shaping the future Nordic energy system&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>Next phase of the competition<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants have until <strong>24 April<\/strong> to finalise their proposals, after which they will be assessed by a Nordic jury with expertise in energy policy, digitalisation and international cooperation:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Klaus Skytte<\/strong>, Director of Nordic Energy Research (Chair)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cecilia Leveaux<\/strong>, Senior Adviser, Digitalisation, Nordic Council of Ministers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Kajsa Paludan<\/strong>, International &amp; The jury will select the finalists based on the relevance and quality of the proposals, as well as their potential contribution to Nordic energy cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The winner will be announced during Almedalsveckan<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The winner will be announced at the event \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nordicenergy.org\/events\/energi-for-nordisk-ai-vagen-mot-ett-smartare-och-mer-inkluderande-energisystem\/\">Energi f\u00f6r nordiskt AI \u2013 v\u00e4gen mot ett smartare och mer inkluderande energisystem<\/a>\u201d, held during Almedalsveckan on Gotland, Sweden, on <strong>25 June<\/strong> and receive a prize of NOK 50,000.
